Theater Gasthuis and the research group for Art Practice and Development are for the second time taking the initiative to invite ten young practitioners from theatre, dance, music, design, dramaturgy and criticism to interact intensively with this year’s Holland Festival – as if it was an academy.

Other than the successful first edition in 2005, this year’s An Academy will concentrate on six days and on at least four performances that deliberately relate to cultures outside of the Western territory or are based on the collaboration of artists with different ethnic and / or artistic backgrounds.
